When printing your invoices the images disappear

In line with our Be Green policy, Softflare Limited has not issued paper invoices for many years. Instead, the customer is sent a PDF invoice which can be opened in any free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. When you receive your invoice it will look like this in Adobe Acrobat Reader:

However, in some organisations, the person who opens the email is not the person who pays the invoice. In such cases the PDF invoice is often printed onto plain paper and then placed in the accounts payable "In tray". Some people have remarked that they can see our PDF invoices perfectly on screen, but when printed out, they appear almost empty, like this:

There is a whole lot of information missing such as:

  • our contact details
  • how to pay
  • our payment terms
  • our registered office and VAT information

As you can understand, this can create any number of complications However, this problem is easily solved. When you go to print a Softflare invoice, the Adobe Acrobat Reader Print dialog opens. At the top right (as shown circled below), you’ll see a section marked "Comments and Forms".

Please make sure that you have either Document and Annotations or Document and Stamps selected before you click OK. This will ensure that all of the invoice prints out.

Thanks for your patience!
